Flesh Incineration – Moar Nukes Plz (Single)

Flesh Incineration singleFlesh Incineration has released a three song grindcore single/ep that clocks in just under three minutes. As you would imagine with grindcore, a lot can happen in those three minutes. Fast guitars and drums and guttural vocals are all there to fit the grindcore genre in this single. Lyrically, Flesh Incineration is similar to political punk bands and topics address gun laws in the US, the love of money, and hypocrisy of many Christians and they state on their facebook page that the title track was inspired by the recent school shooting massacre in the US. Given the songs are all less than 1:30, not much ground can really be covered with these complex topics, but according to the band the songs are written from a perspective “rooted in a faith in Jesus Christ applied to life in a holistic manner”, but not trying to fill a “Jesus-per-song quota.”

From a musical perspective I was anticipating more complex or technical riffing and these songs overall seem like some old school punk/hardcore in both guitar tone and structure, but with grindcore vocals and drums. Production quality is acceptable but some better mixing of the drums would help these songs have more impact and fit better within the grindcore genre.
