Startled by Silence is a new metalcore band from Harderwijk, The Netherlands. Female melodic vocals combined with screaming that would blow even Randy Blythe away, backed up by bashing breakdowns with a big dash of groove, that’s what practically sums up Startled by Silence.
Last month the band posted the following message on their facebook profile:“We’re sorry to inform you that we have parted ways with Joël our bassplayer. We’ve talked about this as a band and we have made a choice to part with Joël. Not because of personal reasons, he is still a friend and a great dude, but we think it is better for the band.”
“We’ve found a new bassplayer, Christian Kuiper, he will be filling up Joël’s place.”
“We are looking forward to a great time with lots of new experiences and we hope you will keep supporting us!”
