Oh, Sleeper recently announced Australian tour dates with For All Eternity and Storm The Sky.  They are ready to annihilate Australian stages once again this January/ February in support of their third full-length album Children of Fire. All dates and locations are listed below.

Oh, Sleeper was an outgrowth of the short-lived Christian emo band Terminal, which split up shortly following the release of its only album in 2005. Three members of Terminal — guitarist James Erwin, bassist Lucas Starr [who briefly played in a similar alternative Christian act, As Cities Burn], prior to that band’s dissolution], and drummer Ryan Conley — regrouped with a pair of local Fort Worth musicians, singer Micah Kinard and guitarist Shane Blay [formerly of Evelynn, as well as the North Carolina straight-edge act Between the Buried and Me] to form Oh, Sleeper in the spring of 2006. Oh, Sleeper‘s debut EP, The Armored March, was released by 1×1 Music in November of that year, and the group signed to Solid State Records for the release of their full-length debut, When I Am God, the following year.

Ryan Conley left the band after the release of When I Am God, choosing to eschew the life of a musician in order join the Navy and begin a family with his longtime girlfriend. Oh, Sleeper forged ahead in his absence, enlisting Matt Davis to handle drum duties and launching sessions for their second album. Son of the Morning, a concept album about God’s final battle with the devil, appeared in 2009.

Their latest album Children Of Fire was released on September 6, 2011 through Solid State Records. Produced by Andreas Magnusson [Black Dahlia Murder, Haste The Day] and mixed by Machine [Lamb of God, Chiodos],Children of Fire is Oh, Sleeper’s third studio album and features twelve blistering tracks like “Hush Yael” and “Endskeekers” that offer hope through an exploration of apocalyptic themes and the ongoing struggle of good vs. evil.

The album debuted on the Billboard 200 at #120 and also charted at #46 Rock Albums, at #7 Christian Albums & at #12 Hard Rock Albums.
