‘Yossi Sassi Band’ to Release New Album “Roots and Roads” In May, Pre-Order Your Copy Now

yossi_band_1c5Former guitarist and Orphaned Land co-founder Yossi Sassi and his band are set to release their third album “Roots and Roads” at the end of May 2016, and it will be the first release under the “Yossi Sassi Band” moniker. Yossi and the band are actively working on the music and soon they will be entering the studio for the recording process.

This release reflects an evolution of Yossi’s compositions, merging east and west, somewhere between his work with Orphaned Land and his previous solo albums.

The band opened a pre-order on their online shop, here, to help finance the recording and mixing of the album while offering: Digital version, Digipak CD, Digipak Limited CD and T-shirts.

Yossi’s personal video message can be seen below, is offering some insights on what to expect from the new album:

This release includes *MANY* surprises that we will share with you gradually as we go deeper into the process, including:
– More vocal-driven songs
– Some heavier songs than ever before
– *Surprise* guest vocalist(s)
– The return of “Bumblefoot”! (fiercer than ever before)
– New instruments that we haven’t used in my music before (inc. various Brass instruments)
– Featuring my daughter Danielle Sassi on flute for the first time

roots and roads (2016)

Yossi‘s second solo-album “Desert Butterflies”,  is released on May 1st. 2014 “Desert Butterflies” is the follow-up to 2012 “Melting Clocks”. The new album was recorded in 4 countries, 3 continents, with over 20 different guitar types, featuring Marty Friedman, Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal [G’n’R], Mariangela Demurtas [Tristania] and many more talented guests!
