‘Apocalypsis’ is the fourth single to be released from metalcore outfit War Of Ages‘ 10th studio album “Dominion“. You can give that song a listen below. “Dominion” is a conceptual effort based upon the Book of Revelation and is is due out next Friday, September 15th release via Facedown Records.

Two years after their triumphant release of “Rhema” War of Ages are back! The band’s seamless blend of classic heavy metal and hardcore is as catchy as it is electrifying on the ten brand new songs that make up their latest album “Dominion”. The new album also comes with the added bonus of being thematically captivating since, after 20 years as a band, War of Ages are making their very first concept album. Vocalist Leroy Hamp: “We’ve always wanted to write a concept album and the book of Revelation is one that I’m very passionate about. There’s so much mystery surrounding the interpretation and visualization of the book, so we all agreed that the concept would be based on what we could pull from those pages.”

Steve Brown’s expert shredding in the vein of 2000s metalcore, Elisha Mullins’ black metal roots, Jack Daniels’ melodic guitar style paired with Leroy’s integral classic hardcore vocals, and drummer Kaleb Lubechow’s technical prowess meld into a singularly heavy musical experience on “Dominion”.

Skillet Releases Title Track of Upcoming Album “Dominion”

Skillet have released the the title track of their upcoming album, “Dominion”. The LP is due on January 14 via Atlantic.

“Dominion”, produced by Kevin Churko (Papa Roach, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch) with songs written by John Cooper, Korey Cooper, Kevin Churko and Kane Churko, was created 100% remotely between the band’s tour dates, home studio in Wisconsin, and the Churkos’ studio in Las Vegas.

“‘Dominion’ is about the celebration of freedom, a liberation from fear — to be who we want to be, say what we want to say, believe what we want to believe,“Skillet frontman John Cooper says. “In some ways, it’s a reminder of the God-given rights that we were born with. It’s time to regain some sort of control over our lives and not be a slave to fear. I hope this record is going to make people feel empowered, inspired, uplifted and want to rock their faces off.”
