Loud Christian hardcore punk band Dispraised are back with a double album release on one 12″ Vinyl Records through Coleiosis Records. For this release they have moved to Coleiosis Records. More about this choice they will explain in the statement below….

We’ve fully expected the response and questions we’ve been getting concerning the new LP being released on Coleiosis Records and our relationship with Rottweiler Records. So here’s the juicy drama and ultra hot take on it all.
There is none.

Our contract with Rottweiler is up and we have decided to part ways with the label. There’s no hot takes, no issues, no drama. We signed a contract under the previous owner of the label, back when it was based out of Indiana. We had personal ties to the label owner and he was willing to take the risk of giving us a chance and the opportunity to release two albums in a 3 year time span under the label. In 2021 Moral Rot” was released and we hit the ground running. 2022 came along and we released ”Lines in the Dirt”. Rights to those two albums are still owned by Rottweiler according to our contract until 2026, which means they will continue to promote, sell and distribute those releases for another 4 years and we fully expect them to carry and distribute those projects to all of you up until that time. They are a group of professionals and they’ll handle those albums in that matter.

Dispraised was birthed by two friends on opposite sides of the world. Donovan de Necker (South Africa) and Tom Mong (Idaho, USA) first began talks of creating the project back in 2017. As two guys with lengthy backgrounds in the punk rock and live music scene, the two of them agreed that they could make something very different and very special for Christian punk rock fans to enjoy.

And so Dispraised was born. Following up from their debut full-length album “Moral Rot” released earlier in the year, the 3 piece outfit are now set to release the next album “Lines in The Dirt” on September 9th via Rottweiler Records.

“Lines in The Dirt” is a project that captures and channels the cutting snark, criticism and outright attitude of some of the most renowned punk rock bands in music history. Dispraised holds nothing back and channels the aggressive anti-PC stance of such legendary punk/hardcore legends as Fear, Black Flag and the Bad Brains. The difference is Dispraised‘s lyrics come from a faith filled Christian stance and are firmly rooted in scripture. Donovan‘s guitar riffs, Justins Aggressive drumming paired with Toms snarling vocals and thought provoking lyrics make “Lines in the Dirt” a truly one of a kind project, for fans of the spirit and sound of Punk Rock that aims to examine a flawed world.

Decaying Martyr is the new Death Metal side project from Thomas Mong, otherwise known as Thomas Dispraised of the Rottweiler Records punk rock band Dispraised. The project is pieced together by many members of the Christian death metal and punk scenes

We consider ourselves to be a Death Metal, Thrash and Grind band that’s focus is centered on that old school metal feel that made your mother scared when she caught you listening to Deicide, Obituary or even Slayer and Anthrax. Decaying Martyr takes extreme metal back to a feel good time when bands were less interested in their social media numbers and more interested in how to create the fastest, meanest and scariest sounding metal that they could create.

Back in 2017, two friends Donovan de Necker and Tom Mong began talks of creating Dispraised. Both agreed to make something very different and special for Christian punk rock fans to enjoy. Enter a true punk rock sound and style created by the two that in and of itself offers a critique against the mundane that passes for “punk rock” and has become only little more than milquetoast elementary school ear fodder. Dispraised took on Justin Ram (of the Grave Robber, The Jericho Harlot fame) as their drummer who held the same convictions and critical ideals that the band had clearly aired. Justin began to record live drums for Dispraised’s first full-length album, “Moral Rot.” which was released on January 28, 2022.

The band quotes, “When one dispraises something it means they disapprove and offer criticism or complete disapproval. Sounds negative, right? Well, if you are on the wrong end of that criticism, it sure is! Yet, if you are upholding an absolute moral standard as laid out in as an authoritative truth text, then the world’s ever moving, constantly changing subjective moral relativism is primed on the chopping block for some seriously cutting critiques.” “Moral Rot is a project that captures and channels the cutting snark, criticism and outright attitude of some of the most renowned punk rock bands in music history. Dispraised holds nothing back and channels the aggressive anti-PC stance of such legendary punk/hardcore legends as Fear, Black Flag and the Bad Brains. The difference is Dispraised’s lyrics come from a faith filled Christian stance and are firmly rooted in scripture.”
