Dark Sarah Announces European Tour with Sirenia, Amberian Dawn and Rexoria

Finnish cinematic metal icons Dark Sarah are thrilled to announce their biggest tour so far in Europe with Sirenia, Amberian Dawn and Rexoria! “We are finally coming to meet our fans in many European countries! Check out the closest city to you, buy the tickets and come to see us and the three amazing bands live!” the band says.

Recently Dark Sarah signed an European bookingsdeal with Desert Rose Agency from The Netherlands. This new co-operation should help Dark Sarah to promote their latest album “Attack Of Orym” live on stage outside of Finland.

Finnish cinematic metal icons Dark Sarah signed an European bookingsdeal with Desert Rose Agency from The Netherlands. This new co-operation should help Dark Sarah to promote their latest album “Attack Of Orym” live on stage outside of Finland.

“Attack Of Orym” is the fifth full-length album by Dark Sarah. It offers guest-appearances by Mark Jansen (Epica), Kasperi Heikkinen (Beast In Black) and JP Leppäluoto (ex-Charon). In the past Dark Sarah already shortly worked together with Desert Rose Agency, who brought the band over to The Netherlands in 2017. Both band and agency feel the time is right to join forces once more.

Dark Sarah continues to evolve their sound but stays close to their symphonic/cinematic metal horror roots in their latest fantasy concept album Attack of the Orym.

Attack of the Orym is the fifth album from Dark Sarah, who prominently feature the vocals of Heidi Parviainen (ex-Amberian Dawn), a classically trained singer. After parting ways with Amberian Dawn in 2012, Heidi started a solo project and Dark Sarah was born. The first releases, including Behind the Black Veil, The Puzzle (2016) and The Golden Moth (2018), describe the journey of a young woman left at the altar who undergoes a near breakdown that wakes up the darker reflection of herself, Dark Sarah. In 2020 with the release of Grim, Dark Sarah move on to a new story in a concept album describing the story of Luna, who journeys through a mystical world facing dangers along the way. Attack of the Orym continues the concept album theme for the band and continues the story from Grim and like the others, was completely funded through Indiegogo. In their native Finland the band has toured with Sonata Arctica and supported Within Temptation. Heidi and Miko Mustonen created the music and lyrics for Attack of the Orym and production and mixing was handled by Miko at Pathos Music (Delain, Sonata Arctica, Ensiferum). Mastering was done by Svante Forsbäck at Chartmakers (Volbeat, Sonata Arctica, Korpiklaani). The band did bring in some outside artists for this album with Mark Jansen (Epica) adding voice to Orym, JP Leppäluoto taking the role of Dragon and Kasperi Keikkinen (Beast in Black) adding a couple guitar solos.

Cinematic metal icons Dark Sarah are about to release their astonishing fifth studio album, Attack Of Orym. The attacking new dimension, coalescing between crystal-clear vocals and propulsive hardness with EBM and dark electronic pop elements, draws you into the tempestuous maelstrom of their retro horror fantasy theme. Introducing the new villain Orym, the band begins their epic battle against the dark forces. Mark Jansen of Epica will sing the title role of ‘Orym’, the king of the forest folk. We´ll also hear a long time Dark Sarah guest JP Leppäluoto returning in the role of Dragon. Attack Of Orym flourishes with its full magnitude, unfolding its potential with every second.

‘Invincible’ is Dark Sarah‘s second single is released today. The song is featured by Kasperi Heikkinen (Beast in Black) on guitar. It’s a very energetic and powerful song and a total spirit lifter! In the album storyline ´Malevolent´, the evil magic orb, tries to convince the protagonist Luna to stay on the dark path.
