Canadian Symphonic / Celtic Metal artist Leah is currently working on a new album, her fifth full-length album was scheduled for a 2022 release, but due to circumstances it will be released later (this year?).

Leah states: As you know, I’ve been chipping away at a new album, and I’m happy to report it’s well on it’s way to completion. I have started recording final vocals on all songs.

In addition, a NEW single will drop on Feb 24th.

This song is called ‘Before This War Is Over’. As usual, I’m taken back to old days and times, when wars were an everyday occurrence, and yet we now find ourselves in a battle for the hearts and minds of mankind today. – Listen to a 20-second teaser of the song below.

I love to mix old history themes with modern struggles because these themes are timeless and will never expire as long as we are human (let’s hope AI doesn’t take over, right! 😂).

As you know, I’m a big lover of freedom and liberty and for many years now, I’ve felt we’re all in a big spiritual war; good against evil.

The message of the song is that even in the midst of war, we can have victory. Even in the presence of struggle and great evil, we can prevail, thrive and WIN.

So, though it’s a heavier lyrical theme, the real message is victory.

I hope you will love it.

Also, I’ll be releasing a video with this song!

Presave The Song Now!

Sleeping Giant’ is her most recent effort (Feb. 2022). The song features very special guests: Mark Jansen (Epica) on harsh vocals and Timo Somers (ex-Delain) on guitars and bass, and Sander Zoer (Delain) on drums!

If the rest of the album is this good, it’ll be absolutely brilliant. It’s super heavy, and the lyrics reflect the troubles of today in a very subtle and fantasy-inspired way. In case you haven’t heard the song, check it out here.
