Cultist have dropped a new single ‘Hell Of My Design’ from the forthcoming album “Slow Suicide”, coming early 2023 on Facedown Records.

Cultist is a Christian heavy band from southern California’s Inland Empire. The framework of the band is unquestionably west coast beatdown hardcore with plenty of east coast influence, giving significant weight to their sound and amplified by lyrical gravity. They pull deathcore-style threads from The Last Ten Seconds of Life, dark metalcore vibes from Varials, and combine it with the raw heaviness fans have come to expect from the Facedown Records Family. Cultist have previously released 2 EPs and 3 unattached singles. Recently they joined Facedown to release their first LP “Slow Suicide.”

Lyrics:
I’ll never make it out of this
What I’m searching for
Is just out of reach

I can’t resist
and I can’t ignore
In death I’ll find my peace

From the moment I wake
I feel a constant ache
I’m escaping the depths
Till the moment I rest

I’ve lost count
How many times did I pray
Only to wind up in this same place
Day after day

The corruption
Turns to decay
I don’t have nobody else to blame

I’m in a hell
of my design
the fragile
state of my mind
is inclined
to decline
when I find hope
a smile choked
I try to cope with a stillborn joy
my life is a ploy

I sense an endless repetition
I can’t escape this prison
I drown my sorrows
To forget that I’m drowning

From the moment I wake
I feel a constant ache
I’m escaping the depths
Till the moment I rest

I sense an endless repetition
I can’t escape this prison
I drown my sorrows
To forget that I’m drowning

Listen to the first single ‘Let Me Feel Everything‘ which was released in July.
