Tourniquet (USA) has been confirmed as the headliner of the Brainstorm Festival 2018. The band returns to Europe for the first time since 2009 and presents their new album “Gazing At Medusa” at the Brainstorm Festival. As a special guest, singer Les Carlsen (Bloodgood, USA) will come along, who recorded an album with Tourniquet exactly 25 years ago.

Tourniquet will close the 11th edition of the Brainstorm Festival in Apeldoorn on Saturday 10 November with a long show. Expect a mix of new songs and hits from the 28-year successful career of the band around drummer Ted Kirkpatrick. Of course there will be a meet and greet with the band at the festival. Also the real fans can buy a VIP ticket. This entitles you to a backstage tour, a dinner with Tourniquet and a small photo shoot with the band. Interested? With ‘Gazing At Medusa’, Tourniquet is back in action. On the new album, the band went all out with on microphone singer Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens (Judas Priest / Iced Earth) and a guest role for singer Deen Castronovo (Journey). For the guitar work, the band managed to attract Chris Poland (Megadeth). More than enough reason to see Tourniquet live at work at the Brainstorm Festival in Apeldoorn on November 10th.

‘Gazing at Medusa’ the new single from veteran metallers Tourniquet can be streamed below. The song appears on the forthcoming album, “Gazing at Medusa” which is scheduled to be released this summer via Pathogenic Records.

“It was really cool having Deen [Castronovo] on vocals for this track,” says Tourniquet drummer/songwriter Ted Kirkpatrick. “He just killed it, as he always does. Plus having Chris {Poland], one of my favorite guitarists, on lead kind of put it over the top.”

The single is available for purchase from bandcamp.

Already announced for the 11th edition were, Pyramaze (DK/USA), Signum Regis (SK), Leonov (NO), Opus Irae (DE), Power Quest (UK), Angel Nation (UK) and Despicable Heroes (NL).
