The Drowned God’s music video for their song ‘Less Than An Exit’ can be watched below. The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album “I’ll Always Be The Same” which is scheduled to be released on January 25, 2019 through Solid State Records. You can pre-order the album here.

The band commented on the song:

‘Less Than an Exit’ is about mood congruence. Specifically how a negative emotional state can lead to feelings of stasis and destructive thought loops which perpetuate the mindset that you’ll feel this way forever. This song encapsulates the main theme of ‘I’ll Always Be The Same.’

Formed in 2015, The Drowned God emerges from a complex musical tradition that ties together a few genres, with atmospheric post-metal and turn-of-the-millennium emo amplifying the sound that is their most notable influence: the mid-aughts wave of violent, passionate, wearied metallic post-hardcore. The Drowned God holds this banner high with aplomb, morphing the more direct attack that personified itself in bands like Poison The Well and Norma Jean into something more melancholic, slow-burning, and monolithic. In 2017, The Drowned God dropped their debut album, “Moonbearer.”
