We Were Sharks is proving once again that pop-punk is not dead with the colorful premiere of their new music video ‘Hotel Beds.’ Just weeks away from the release of their upcoming album “Lost Touch,” these tenacious Canadians have kicked of their new tour on February 2, marking their third tour since signing to Victory Records.“Lost Touch” will be available everywhere on February 23, 2018.

The six-piece recently shook things up with release of the video ‘Ashley,’ a gushy love song about the bad girl that is always on your mind. ‘Hotel Beds’ is the antithesis, as vocalist Randy Frobel explains, “This is more like an anti-love song about that one person who has you wrapped around their finger, as the lyric goes.” Guitarist Colin Jacques concurs, “This song has an anxiousness to it. It’s about that one person who truly has a hold on you. Every song you hear seems to be about them. Every notification on your phone could be them. Every bit of you is drawn to that person, and you just can’t shake them out of your head.” Continue reading »

At just eighty-two seconds in length and loads of punk rock shenanigans, We Were Sharks have released the raucous new video ‘Ashley,’ from their upcoming album “Lost Touch.” The album will be available February 23 through Victory Records, just as the Canadian six piece will wrap up their second tour behind the new record.

“Shooting the video for ‘Ashley’ was an absolute blast,” recalls vocalist Randy Frobel. “Dodging balls, Nerf darts, toilet paper and a few eggs for good measure, as an older loving couple wreak havoc on the neighborhood pranking everyone in sight. What more could you ask for? ‘Ashley’ is a teen angst love song about that bad girl who lives a few houses down. You know she’s trouble, but she’s everything you dream about.” Continue reading »

Victory Records’ latest signing, We Were Sharks are premiering ‘Stay,’ the second video behind their upcoming album, “Lost Touch,” set for release on February 23, 2018. The video lands just in time as the Canadian power punks pack their gear and hit the US next week to introduce new tracks from Lost Touch live for the very first time.

“It’s hard to be brave and want to break out and follow your passion,” admits guitarist Jason Mooney. “This song is about growing up surrounded by those who lived within their comfort zone. It’s easy for people to tell you that you are wrong because that’s the easy answer. You have to believe in yourself, and always stay true to yourself, because that’s what will make you stand out.”

Victory Records is proud to announce the addition of dynamic punk ensemble We Were Sharks to the labels ever growing roster. With the debut premiere of their brand new video ‘Beyond Repair,’ the Canadian six-piece powerhouse hits the road tonight ready to douse crowds with material from their new album, Lost Touch, set for release on February 23, 2018.

“Growing up, the bands that stuck with us the most were bands from Victory, and now we get to be part of that family,” defines guitarist Jason Mooney. “I remember picking up any Victory release and inside you’d find a Victory DVD with the latest music videos. There was no YouTube or Spotify back then, this was your key to what was new and upcoming. It’s an honor to know that we’re part of a team that has made a huge impact in the scene, and we hope that there’s a kid who finds us and feels as excited as we did when we found those bands.”
