Theocracy is happy to announce plans to play the entire As the World Bleeds album on February 15, 2013 at the Sanctuary From the Streets fundraiser in Nashville, TN.
Vocalist Matt Smith explains: “We kicked around the idea of trying to make this happen a few months ago, because we always loved the idea. A lot of people seemed as excited about it as we were, so it just became a matter of trying to find the right place and time to make it happen. The internationally renowned heavy metal band, “Theocracy” has been confirmed as the headliner for “Sanctuary From The Streets” at The Rutledge Live Music Venue in downtown Nashville, TN on Friday, February 15th 2013. The band’s latest release on Ulterium Records, “As The World Bleeds” was released in the United States on November 21st 2011 and has spawned numerous singles and videos including the video for “Hide in the Fairytale” this past September. Also appearing on the bill will be melodic metal bands “InnerSiege” based out of Peoria, IL and Nashville’s own “Oblivion Myth”.
The event itself serves as the inaugural effort from Nashville Metal Band’s latest endeavor, “Molten Metal” which seeks to bring awareness and support to worthwhile causes in and around the Middle Tennessee area. “A lot of people ask us how to get the debut Theocracy album, which is long out of print. Well, you won’t have to wait much longer, because it’s going to be re-released through Ulterium Records! We went through a lot of discussion about how much we wanted to rework it: Do we re-record the whole thing with the new lineup? Do we just release it as-is? There were a lot of ways we could go, but ultimately we decided that people love that album and it’s a snapshot in time, so we didn’t want to completely redo something people are attached to. As The World Bleeds was released in Europe on November 25th through Ulterium Records and in North America on November 21st through Nightmare Records.
As The World Bleeds debuted at #40 in the Billboard Heatseekers Chart during the first week of release.
