With their world tour preparing to hit European stages next month (Support from Between The Buried & Me + Plini), British genre-bending progressive rockers TesseracT have released a new video for the track ‘Juno’, taken from their latest studio album, “Sonder”‘ This stunning clip created by Dark Fable Media and was filmed in high-definition 4K.

TesseracT vocalist and lyricist Dan Tomkins explains the importance of the track within “Sonder”: “Writing the lyrics for this album was a cathartic experience and I feel that ‘Juno’ is probably the epitome of ‘Sonder’.

“We wanted to create a video that symbolized the realization of the constraints that are placed on life. ‘Juno’ is the embodiment of that feeling.”

He continues: “Having worked with Dark Fable Media multiple times, I have grown to love what they do and how they operate. TesseracT have wanted to work with them for a long time now, so this video was a real joy to work on.” Continue reading »

TesseracT will release their new studio album “Sonder” this Friday, April 20th, via Kscope. Ahead of the album release, the band is streaming the new version of the song ‘Smile’. The track can be streamed below, and read an exclusive interview with singer Daniel Tompkins at Billboard.

“Sonder” adds significant firepower to the band’s arsenal, blending the harsh abrasiveness of “One” (2011) and progressive ethereal elements of “Altered State” (2013) with the accessibility of “Polaris” (2015).

“Sonder” is streamlined, honest, and direct, with all the trademark TesseracT dreamy atmospherics and bending grooves.“Sonder” was recorded in the UK at 4D Sounds, Celestial Sounds and Project Studios, and engineered by the band and Aiden O’Brien, with mastering by Acle Kahney and cover artwork designed by Amos Williams. TesseracT have released a video for the new single ‘King‘, featured on their fourth studio album “Sonder,” out on April 20th via Kscope.

The emotive and viscerally challenging clip was directed by Kyle Kadow and Steven Cleavland and shot in a snowy Wisconsin following a brutal storm, which all added to the atmospheric footage.

As bassist Amos Williams explains, “We have been very lucky to work with two cinematographers of such vision and quality as Kyle and Steven. We gave them free reign with the creation of the first story board. They chose to explore the theme of claustrophobia and how fear can control our lives – using a luminary figure as a beacon of hope and escape for the characters.” Continue reading »

tesseract“Nocturne”, the new video form U.K. progressive rockers Tesseract, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Ben Thornley of Sitcom Soldiers.

Comments Tesseract: “As we haven’t taken part in our promo videos for a while, we felt now was the time to make an appearance. But we also wanted to create a journey with the video that was similar to the journey portrayed by the music. A pretty straightforward step from the night, what it hides and the fear it generates, into the reassurance and safety of the dawn.

“We have always really liked the idea of creating silhouettes (we tried to something similar with our first video, ‘Deception’), so we decided upon using back lights for the majority of the video, which is then reversed when the feeling of the music changes towards the end of the track.
