Myles Army AU & NZ conducted an interview with Myles Kennedy[Alter Bridge, Slash]during the Australian leg of Slash‘s Apocalyptic Love tour. Myles talks about meeting the koalas, his solo record, who he believes has the most perfect human voice and much more. You can now watch the chat below.

Kennedy previously stated about his upcoming solo CD, “It’s all recorded. I just need to track the vocals and get it mixed. I hope to get it done because I spent a lot of time working on it and it’s a different side of me as far as the creative aspect goes. I’m proud of that record. Legendary guitarist Slash [Velvet Revolver, Guns N' Roses] joined Alter Bridge on stage last night [Sunday, February 26] at the Soundwave Festival in Sydney, Australia to perform the song Rise Today. Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be viewed below.

Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy has served as Slash‘s touring vocalist for the past couple of years, and has contributed vocals and songwriting to all of the guitarist’s forthcoming second solo album,“Apocalyptic Love”, which will be released on May 22 via Slash‘s own label Dik Hayd International distributed through EMI. To reflect Myles‘ increased contributions to the new CD, “Apocalyptic Love” is being made available under the name “Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.” Continue reading »

SlashFrance.net and AlterBridge-France.fr conducted an interview with Myles Kennedy [Alter Bridge, Slash] before Alter Bridge‘s November 4 concert at Le Zénith in Paris, France. The 19-minute clip, which includes performance footage, can be seen below.

When asked if the forthcoming second solo album from legendary guitarist Slash [Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver]— which will feature lead vocals and songwriting contributions from Myles — will be heavier than last year’s self-titled effort, Kennedy said, “A lot of it depends on which songs make the cut. There’s 17 tracks [in the works] right now, so depending on which end up being the final ones. But there are definitely songs with more of an aggressive side — [Slash's] signature dark riffs that he’s so great at, there’s tracks with that. Then there’s also tracks that touch on other vibes, stylistically. So it’s definitely a dynamic [album].” Continue reading »
