The Swedish-American collaborative project between Tom S. Englund, vocalist of Swedish progressive group Evergrey, and virtuoso classical pianist Vikram Shankar, feels at once lushly cinematic, warmly intimate, darkly melancholic and incandescently beautiful. It’s making is a story of a deep musical kinship between two seemingly divergent talents. Their first album, “Satellites,” is out now via AFM Records

Silent Skies presents their adaptation of the beloved traditional “Ave Maria,” as a holiday gift for their fans. We know that this year has been a challenging one in many respects, and we hope this bonus gift, on top of our recently released record, Satellites, can give you strength and joy this holiday season. Tom Englund (Evergrey) and Vikram Shankar (Redemption) join forces as Silent Skies to release their debut record “Satellites”, which is characterized by an emotionally driven piano, which explores into soundtrack dimensions. Desolate, gloomy, but also hopeful, the compositions pave their way on “Satellites”, which are characterized by self-reflection and inner contemplation. With its almost hypnotic effect, this mélange creates images in the listener’s inner eye.

After launching this exciting new project a while ago with the first singles ‘Horizons’ and later ‘Solitude’ (including a beautiful music video directed by Patric Ullaeus), Silent Skies finally unveil detailed information on their highly anticipated debut record: titled, “Satellites,” the atmospheric 10-track album will be released on December 11th. via AFM Records.

Celldweller continues to reveal more of his upcoming 5th studio album, “Satellites,” with the 3rd new single, ‘A Matter of Time,’ from Klayton’s owned/operated independent record label, FiXT. ‘A Matter of Time’ pushes chugging, heavy guitars with fast-paced beats and synth programming, clocking in at just over 6 minutes. The track showcases Klayton’s wide ranging vocal styles, from aggressive screams to layered harmonies, vocoders and melodic hooks, while incorporating elements of Psy-Trance and an intense electro-metal bridge.
