Sometimes an album title fits or works on several levels and Movement by Inhale Exhale is one of those titles. From a simplistic standpoint, fans of metalcore will certainly find more than enough parts in these songs that inspire, well, Movement. On a deeper level, Movement represents a continuing shift in the sound of Inhale Exhale and also happens to coincide with their change in record labels and return from a brief hiatus.

Review: After three full length releases on Solid State Records (Tooth&Nail), ending with Bury Me Alive in 2009, Cleveland Ohio metalcore band Inhale Exhale return from a somewhat extended hiatus with the release of Movement on Red Cord Records. I had first heard Inhale Exhale back in 2006 with their first release The Lost. The Sick. The Sacred, and though metalcore is not my favorite genre, that release did have me hooked from the first track. Continue reading »

Phinehas has released a new music video for My Horses Are Many. The song is taken from their latest album The Godmachine [review], which was released July 2011 via Red Cord Records. The video can be seen below.

Above the ashes of a dry and thirsty scene, where towers of pride rise and fall, stands Phinehas [FEHN-ee-uhs]. Formed in 2001 on the outskirts of Los Angeles, Phinehas is a band of Christians with the purpose of being a shining light amidst a dark scene. They recognize that a message is only perceived as good as the messenger, so music quality holds an equally important role in their ministry. What initially began as a thrashy hardcore band has flourished into a brand of metal that not many can emulate. Continue reading »

Bridgeway is proud to welcome Nevada hardcore band Under Cities to the family. Check out the video below for a sneak peak at some new music. The band commented: ‘ We love you guys and your support means so much. We would not be where we are today if it wasn’t for you all.’

We are very excited to be working with such an awesome spirit filled, hardcore based ministry and group of guys. Under Cities has an intensity and a drive that we were immediately drawn to, not only in their traditional/melodic hardcore based roots but also in the fire that they have for being a band that is also a ministry. Phinehas is a metal core band from La Mirada (California, US) and they are signed to Red Cord Records. At the end of 2009 the band released an EP, titled ‘Phinehas’, and in July 2011 they released their first full-length album through Red Cord Records: ‘The Godmachine’.

It will not surprise you that you will come across a lot of metal core characteristics. Breakdowns, harmonized guitar riffs, double bass drumming, dropped guitar tunes and the alternation between screams and clean vocals: they are all there. All elements are thought-out built into the tracks, are well executed and the thirteen tracks hold more than enough diversity. Continue reading »
