‘Taste Of Regret’, the new video from Of Mice & Men, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band’s sixth album, “Earthandsky”, which will be released on September 27 via Rise Records.

‘Taste Of Regret’ is a song about knowing when to pick your battles, and also knowing when to shut your mouth and bite your tongue,” said singer and bassist Aaron Pauley. “‘Loose lips sink ships,’ as the age old cliché goes. There’s a lot of truth in that though. One’s loud mouth can ruin their life.”

Drummer Tino Arteaga weighed in on the video, saying, “Pulling inspiration from old psychological thrillers and filmmaking from the ’70s and ’80s, ‘Taste Of Regret’ continues our ongoing visual narrative of the previous three videos for this album at an alternate point in the timeline.” Continue reading »

California rockers Of Mice & Men have announced a North American headlining tour in the fall. Support on the trek will come from For The Fallen Dreams Thousand Below and Bloodbather. Dubbed “The Earth Tour”, it will kick off September 23 in Los Angeles and end on October 19 in Mesa, Arizona.

Of Mice & Men will release its new album, “Earthandsky”, on September 27 via Rise Records. The disc will include the previously released tracks ‘Mushroom Cloud’ and ‘How To Survive’, as well as the newly issued single ‘Earth & Sky’.

‘Earth & Sky’ is a song about resilience,” says frontman Aaron Pauley. It’s about understanding that you can rise above whatever it is that keeps trying to drag you down, no matter what.

“For me, a lot of the time, I’m writing about battling with my own mind. For you, it may be a person, or an obstacle, or a circumstance,” he continues. “Regardless of whatever it is that’s trying relentlessly to drag you down, I hope this song empowers you to rise above it with authority, like it does me every time I sing it.”

“How To Survive” marked the first taste of new music from the Southern California quartet since last year’s much-praised “Defy” album. Continue reading »

Of Mice & Men has released the official music video for a new song called ‘Mushroom Cloud’. Check it out below.

Commented singer/bassist Aaron Pauley: “I was pretty young when I became aware of the danger of spending too much time in my own head. My mind has never been a safe place for me to retreat to, and it’s something I have to consciously deal with on a daily basis. ‘Mushroom Cloud’ is our visceral representation of how it feels to be trapped, how it feels to be cut down by your own inner voice, how it feels to have nowhere to hide, and how it feels to be someone with a mind that’s as dangerous to themselves as the aftermath of an atomic weapon.”

Of Mice & Men has been in the studio working on new material with producer Josh Wilbur. Continue reading »

‘How To Survive’, the new video from Of Mice & Men, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Zev Deans (Denzel CurryGhost).

Hinging on hard-hitting grooves and airtight riffing, the track snaps from visceral verses into an instantly chant-worthy growl of “In a world that teaches eye for an eye, I’ll show you how to survive!” It’s an instantly raw ‘n’ real, pit-stirring anthem.

‘How to Survive’ is an anthem for those who have been the receiving end of unmerited and targeted hatred and abuse,” said singer and bassist Aaron Pauley, offering a deeper insight into the impactful song. “It’s for the kid who was bullied, beat up, and ignored in school. It’s for the teenager who was told that they’ll never amount to anything and that their thoughts, feelings, and opinions don’t matter to the world. It’s for the person who has been told that they’re worthless, useless, or not good enough, time and time again. It’s for the person who’s repeatedly been targeted by those who only seek to tear others around them down.” Continue reading »
