Jupiter VI logo‘Running’ is the second single extracted from Deliverance frontman Jimmy P Brown II‘s alter ego band Jupiter VI album: “Moveable Walls” released on December 16, 2014 through Roxx Records. The video can be seen below.

The year was 2005, founder and brainchild of speed metal band Deliverance, Jimmy P Brown II was approached by the owner of PyschoAcoustix Records. He askedJimmy if he could make an album along the lines of David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust”or something along those lines of inventing a character and creating a record to go with this concept. The question intrigued Jimmy, especially since he has always had a tremendous amount of love and respect for the music of Bowie, so he agreed to think about it.

Having no idea what or how to go about it, Jimmy then created the idea of Jupiter VI. A band that in a science fiction setting would be sent from Earth to the planet Mars to find notoriety, fame and acceptance. Continue reading »

Jupiter_20VI_20-_20CD_20Cover_originalJupiter VI was a band I had never heard of before I got to review the Roxx Records’ Best of 2014 compilation. So for the people who still don’t know who Jupiter VI is;

it’s a project started by Jimmy P. Brown II of the metal band Deliverance. According to the Roxx Records site, he was approached by PsychoAcoustix Records who asked him whether he could create a concept album. So Jimmy wrote an album about a band who was sent from Earth to Mars to seek fame, a band called “Jupiter VI” And he released “Back From Mars” which was well received. This time we’re presented a different album with a different storyline, influenced by his youth. A story about despair, darkness, madness and redemption. The story is called “mOVEABLE wALLS”. Unlike their previous release, where Jimmy did all the writing, he now worked together with Jeff Ceyba. Continue reading »
