Azorrague – “Bringer of Terror”

Bringer_Of_Terror_6b3By now, metal from Brazil is not very surprising to many.  Azorrague, translating to whip/scourge/lash/punishment, is the latest Brazilian band to catch my attention and one of several from the city of Curitiba.  Bringing their own combination of death metal and thrash, Azorrague have unleashed their second full length album Bringer of Terror.

If you’re looking for metal in Brazil, Curitiba certainly seems to be a good place to start.  Bands like Efrata, Hawthorn, Maestah, and Doomsday Hymn all come to mind when that city is named and now add Azorrague to that list.  From information I could find, Azorrague started back in 2007, and has two previous releases, the ep Lies Empire in 2008 and the full length Die With Us in 2011.  For Bringer of Terror, the band recorded at Silent Music Studio and enlisted Karim Serri (Doomsday Hymn, Maestah and others) for production, mixing, and mastering. Azorrague_20153 years after their last release, the Brazilian Death/Thrash metal band Azorrague is back with a brand new album, which carries the title “Bringer of Terror”.

“BoT” was recorded at Silent Music Studio, produced, mixed and mastered by Karim Serri (Doomsday Hymn, Desertor, Stauros, Maestah and others) & released through the new Brazilian label Metal Survivor. The album contains 10 songs of furious Death-thrash, where the band shows a considerable evolution if compared to the previous album, “Die with Us” (2012).

PL_logoBrazil is a country best know for being a pole of bands from agressive styles, but fortunately there are several examples of great bands that walk in different ways, bands like Stauros, Maestah, Crossrock, Doomsday Hymn and many others.

Perpetual Legacy is one of these bands the quintet was founded in 2014,  is comprised of: Michelle Braglia (Vocals) Bruno de Souza (Guitar) Matheus Maia (Bass) Rafael Lobo (Piano & Keyboard) Gabriel Pedroso (Drums). They play Symphonic Metal with influences of Heavy, Power metal and elements of Folk and Industrial. The debut album “A New Symphony For Him” will be released next month through Metal Survivor.
