To coincide with “Perfectly Preserved”‘s release, Love and Death will play a livestreamed concert on February 12. Tickets for the show, along with album merchandise bundles, are available at this location.

Love and Death harness soaring melodies and crushing riffs, weaponizing them like a supernatural dagger to strike at the blackened heart of disillusionment from both within and without. With an instantly recognizable relatability, for anyone who has felt discarded or without value, the band crafts invigorating anthems filled with earnest pleas for mercy and certainty amidst the chaos of an uncertain world. This is heavy music to vigorously confront depression, heartbreak, and pain.

2021 will see Love And Death return with “Perfectly Preserved”, a blistering but accessible full-length follow-up, driven by the spiritual resilience inherent in the first record, combined with an even starker depiction of real-life struggle. Anger, broken relationships, lowered self-worth, and the collision of optimistic values with oppressive systems are all on display, from the arresting refrains of ‘Tragedy‘, ‘Death Of Us‘ and ‘Affliction‘ to the bold, conqueror driven anthem of ‘White Flag‘.

With an instantly recognizable relatability, for anyone who has felt discarded or without value, the band crafts invigorating anthems filled with earnest pleas for mercy and certainty amidst the chaos of an uncertain world. This is heavy music to vigorously confront depression, heartbreak, and pain.

The band began with similar raw, authentic emotional honesty to what drove singer/guitarist Brian “Head” Welch to multiplatinum and Grammy Award-winning heights as a co-founder of genre trailblazers Korn Forged as an outlet for recovery and redemption in a season of change, the creation of Love And Death resulted in the powerful and dynamic 2013 debut “Between Here & Lost”. The album spoke plainly to the hearts of similarly disenfranchised fans all across the world.

Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch has confirmed to “Good Company” that he is “almost done” recording his new solo album. “I’m working with Jasen [Rauch] from Breaking Benjamin,” he said (see video below). “And I’m talking to Spencer [Chamberlain] from Underoath about possibly doing something. And Lacey [Sturm] from Flyleaf… She is singing on a cover song, but I can’t tell you which song it is. It’s gotta be a surprise.”

Welch‘s last non-Korn release was the “Lo Lamento” single from his Love and Death project, which came out in March 2016. Joining Welch on the track were Rauch, who produced the song, JR Bareis (from Islander) and Dan Johnson from REDHead shared vocal duties on the track with Bareis.

Award-winning documentary “Loud Krazy Love” is being made available for public viewing through three unique opportunities — select theatrical advance screenings happening now, a Father’s Day Weekend Watch Party Event and the digital and DVD release on June 18. The trailer can be seen below.

Produced by I Am Second Media and Ditore Mayo Entertainment“Loud Krazy Love”documents the remarkable and touching true story of two-time Grammy-winning artist Brian “Head” Welch and his daughter Jennea.

The film explores the relationship between the Welches and how Jennea saved Brian‘s life, as he walked away from a $23 million record deal and overcame a crippling addiction to drugs to focus on becoming a good father. Lo_Lamento_908‘Lo Lamento’, a brand new song from Love and Death, the band led by Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, can be streamed below. Joining Welch on the track are Breaking Benjamin‘s Jasen Rauch, who produced the song, JR Bareis (from Islander and Love and Death) and Dan Johnson from RED. Head shares vocal duties on the track with Bareis.

Welch tells Loudwire: “‘Lo Lamento’ is a song that came from an idea producer Jasen Rauch and writer Mark Holeman had on our last album, ‘Between Here And Lost’. It was actually the original chorus for our song ‘I W8 4 U’, but it sounded way too melodic for that crushing song, as you can imagine. To me, ‘Lo Lamento’ paints a picture lyrically about infidelity and a once picture perfect relationship left in ruins.” Continue reading »
