Massachusetts metallers Killswitch Engage have signed with Metal Blade Records. The band’s upcoming album will be made available through Sony Music Entertainment outside of North America.

Metal Blade‘s CEO/founder Brian Slagel commented: “I have been a huge fan and friend of Killswitch for a long time, so it is truly an honor to be able to work with them. So happy to welcome them to the Metal Blade family.”

Chef Brian Tsao, known for his stint on Food Network‘s “Beat Bobby Flay” and “Chopped”, as well as his heavy metal persona on the web series “Taste Of Metal”, is hosting “Small Bites Of Hope”, a pop-up culinary event benefiting the non-profit organization Hope For The Day.

To celebrate Mental Health Awareness month in May, Tsao will team up Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach to host a unique event that raises awareness for mental health advocacy and suicide prevention.

The event will offer exquisite catering from Tsao, signature cocktails from Black Craft, craft beer from Six Point Brewery, dessert from Snow Days, and much more!

Proceeds will benefit Hope For The Day, a non-profit organization that achieves proactive suicide prevention by providing outreach and mental health education through self-expression platforms. Continue reading »

Killswitch Engage‘s “Alive Or Just Breathing” (Roadrunner) was released on May 21, 2002 and has since secured its reputation as a modern classic, as noted by its election to Decibel‘s elite Hall Of Fame canon. The record celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. The band, which released its most recent album, “Incarnate”, in March 2016, is commemorating the occasion with an 180-gram black vinyl version of the album that drops on May 12.

Fans can pre-order the vinyl here; there are 15-year anniversary merch bundles also on sale.
