Killswitch Engage‘s new album, Disarm The Descent, will be released on April 2 via Roadrunner Records. The follow-up to Killswitch Engage‘s 2009′s self-titled release is the band’s first album with original singer Jesse Leach at the vocal helm since 2002′s now-classic, genre-defining Alive or Just BreathingLeach returned to the band in January 2012 after a decade-long absence. The artwork for the new CD was created by D’Antonio.

Killswitch Engage front man Jesse Leach is currently writing a tour diary for Alternative Press as the band celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their Roadrunner debut ‘Alive Or Just Breathing.’ Here is a very interesting snippet from Jesse‘s blog…

Having a second chance to be in this band is surreal at times. I would have never thought this would happen, but it all came full circle. We just finished a record I feel is my best work yet, and everyone in the band is excited for it. I’m looking forward to a few more weeks of these shows.”

Massachusetts metallers Killswitch Engage are currently mixing their new album with veteran British producer Andy Sneap [Megadeth, Testament, Exodus, Accept, Arch Enemy, Nevermore]to mix their new album for an early 2013 release via Roadrunner Records. The recording sessions for the CD were overseen by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, an acclaimed producer in his own right who has previously worked with All That Remains, The Devil Wears Prada and As I Lay Dying, among others.

Killswitch Engage‘s forthcoming album will mark the return of the band’s original vocalist, Jesse Leach, who rejoined the group earlier this year following the departure of Howard Jones after nine years and three successful albums. Continue reading »

In an interview with the Brock And The Fatguy radio show, Jessestated about Killswitch Engage‘s new material, “People are gonna be really surprised; [we're] setting the bar up high once again. In an interview with AltPress.comKillswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz stated about the progress of the songwriting sessions for the band’s new album, tentatively due in early 2013, “We’ve done basics for 16 songs, and we’ve got some vocal ideas down for two of them. When we get [off the road] in September, we’ll put the finishing touches on the other 14. The two are just about completed. One of them actually leaked already somehow. Somebody at the record company who is an absolute idiot did it. The only bummer about it was the fact that it’s just not done.
