‘Inhale Exhale’ Breaking Up

Inhale Exhale BandCleveland, Ohio’s Inhale Exhale will be disbanding after seven years together. The group released four albums, including three with Solid State Records. The band’s latest album “Movement” has been released Oct. 2012 via Red Cord Records. Guitarist John LaRussa has issued the following statement:

“As of right now, after touring 10+ countries, releasing 4 studio albums internationally, and shooting videos and singles and all that goes along with being in this band, Inhale Exhale is coming to an end. We will be playing Alliance Festival that we have up on our tour page, but have not said yes to any other show offers or festivals this year. We have only briefly discussed if we want to have a final show. We have become to busy with other endeavors or our hearts and minds are elsewhere. Continue reading »

Inhale Exhale – Movement

Sometimes an album title fits or works on several levels and Movement by Inhale Exhale is one of those titles. From a simplistic standpoint, fans of metalcore will certainly find more than enough parts in these songs that inspire, well, Movement. On a deeper level, Movement represents a continuing shift in the sound of Inhale Exhale and also happens to coincide with their change in record labels and return from a brief hiatus.

Review: After three full length releases on Solid State Records (Tooth&Nail), ending with Bury Me Alive in 2009, Cleveland Ohio metalcore band Inhale Exhale return from a somewhat extended hiatus with the release of Movement on Red Cord Records. I had first heard Inhale Exhale back in 2006 with their first release The Lost. The Sick. The Sacred, and though metalcore is not my favorite genre, that release did have me hooked from the first track. Continue reading »

Post-hardcore heroes Inhale Exhale are excited to unleash new track Carpe Diem, which is premiering exclusively today with tastemaker Revolver. The track is the second new song the band is previewing for fans in advance of the October 9th release of its anticipated fourth album, Movement, on Red Cord Records. The song is available for streaming below.

The track is representative of the Cleveland rockers’ approach on Movement, deftly avoiding pigeon-holing, remaining aggressive and technical but balancing that with melody and songwriting chops. Lyrically, Carpe Diem touches on themes that run deep throughout Movement. Continue reading »
