ImpendingDoom_2012Southern California juggernauts Impending Doom have entered The Machine Shop [Suicide Silence, Lamb Of God] in Belleville, NJ this week to start working on their next LP with producer Will Putney. Bass player David Sittig weighs in on where the band stands in the process:

Support will come from Thick As Blood, Fit For A King, The Browning, Hearts & Hands and labelmates This Or The Apocalypse. Dates and locations are listed below.

Impending Doom is a deathcore act, hailing from Riverside (California, US). They formed seven years ago and have released three albums in the past years (‘Nailed, Dead And Risen’ in 2007, ‘The Serpent Servant’ in 2009 and ‘There Will Be Violence’ two years ago). How does their newcomer ‘Baptized In Filth’ compare to their previous releases?

Their new album ‘Baptized In Filth’ more or less continues where their previous one left off. The known elements as the high energy, the death metal with core elements, the down tuned guitars, the groovy riffs, the blast beats … they are all present again. Where ‘There Will Be Violence’ sounded a bit disjointed to me, ‘Baptized In Filth’ comes more across as a whole. Continue reading »

Riverside, California-based Christian death metallers Impending Doom have announced their first Australian tour for this September. The metal outfit continue to support their latest, and fourth studio album Baptized In Filth which is out now via eOne / Shock.  Joining them will be Gold Coast’s Prepared Like A Bride who are preparing for the release of their new EP A Dangerous Journey. Tickets for the tour are on sale next Friday 11th May from 9am. “This record is a lot darker.
