As I Lay Dying have released a behind-the-scenes clip from the video of their cover of Judas Priest’s “Electric Eye.” The track is taken from the band’s latest release, the EP titled Decas. You can view the behind-the-scenes clip as well as the full video below.

Decas, the new album from San Diego, California metallers As I Lay Dying, was released on november 8th. sold 9,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 61 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band’s previous CD, 2010′s The Powerless Rise, opened with 38,000 units to land at No. 10. San Diego metallers As I Lay Dying have released the video for their cover version of the Judas Priest classic Electric Eye. The clip was filmed with director Paul R. Brown (Stone Sour, Slipknot, Motley Crue, Korn, Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold) at El Mirage Lake, a dry lake bed in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California.

“After a long day of sunburns and drought out in the desert, [I was] glad to be done fighting scorpions for the filming of Electric Eye,” said As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis. “We came out victorious, but we probably couldn’t have done it without the classic metal inspiration of Halford and Priest’s legendary guitar melodies.” Continue reading »
