Yossi Sassi dec 2013Former guitarist and Orphaned Land co-founder Yossi Sassi‘s“Desert Butterflies” European Tour 2015 kicks off Dec. 4th. in Marseille, France and ends Dec. 13th. in Bochnia, Poland. The final show for the “Desert Butterflies” tour will be in Israel, December 28th. this will be a very intimate show with only 130 tickets available – so hurry up and pre-order.

Yossi comments: “We are sorry to update that the show scheduled for Toulouse on Dec 3rd was cancelled by the local production.  Despite all our efforts, which included various offers and alternatives to keep the concert happening, we had to accept this sad decision that was imposed on us.  Cannot explain how much we wanted to kick-off the tour in Toulouse, avec les amis. All who bought tickets, will get refunds. Please write to contact@spm-prod.fr for more info. We hope to see you all in Marseille on December 4th. I promise it will be worth the trip.”

The show on Dec 4th @ Le Rat’s – Puget-sur-Argens (FR) has been moved to Jas’Rod – Marseille / Les Pennes Mirabeau (FR). And the show on Dec 7th @ W2 – Den Bosch (NL) is cancelled due to low tickets sales. Continue reading »

Yossi SassiYossi Sassi is a guitarist, producer merging roots with contemporary music. composer, arranger and co-founder of Israeli progressive metal band Orphaned Land. In Januari he announced his departure from the band.  Yossi plays 17 different types of guitars and traditional instruments, and has been invited to play live and share the stage with artists such as Metallica, Marty Friedman, Steven Wilson, Yehuda Poliker and others. Below you can read an interview with Yossi, he speaks about his second solo album “Desert Butterflies” which came out earlier last month [May 1st], his father, his favorite albums, influences, his future plans and much more.
