Before heading on their first tour of 2019, Broadside is holding over fans with two new tracks, ‘King Of Nothing’ and ‘Empty.’

‘King Of Nothing’ – “This is a song about wanting to be the best,” states Broadside vocalist Ollie Baxxter. “We chose this life as touring musicians but it can be painfully lonely. We all want to be heard and play to massive crowds while making enough money that our parents won’t worry about our futures. I’m so proud of our accomplishments as a band but some nights, after the show ends and those crowds leave the venue, when you’re in the back seat of a dark van, you feel like you’re not doing enough and those dreams you have become nightmares of what you’ll never achieve. You can be on top of the world and have nothing.”

‘Empty’ – “I was going through a real out of body misery when writing this song,’” Baxxter playfully admits. “The duality of a being a broken-hearted romantic splits a person. Continue reading »

Broadside have released a new video for ‘Summer Stained,’ taken from the bands highly-acclaimed sophomore album “Paradise.” The heart-tugging clip takes an internal look at the bands relationships as seen through the eyes of their fans. The video also commemorates their life on tour, which starts tonight across Europe before creating more memories on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour.

The video for ‘Summer Stained’ can be watched below.

Asking fans to submit photos of their Broadside memories, vocalist Ollie Baxxter explains, “With the progression of social media and everybody having a camera in their pocket, a lot of moments are captured but unseen. We always meet so many people on tour and being able to relive those encounters again without the fear of ‘I hope I’m more than just a photograph’ was really inspirational. The fact that thousands of photos poured in shows that people really care about us (as we do them). The love is more than appreciated.” Continue reading »

As summer comes to a close, Broadside are delivering another slice of paradise, the Morrissey-inspired song and new music video ‘I Love You, I Love You. It’s Disgusting.’ The bittersweet track is the closer on their latest album Paradise, and furthers Broadside’s abiding pledge to fearlessly expand their voice as leaders of the pop-punk crusade. The video can be seen below.

Directed by front-man Ollie Baxxter, he explains, “This is a song for romantics. When you’re in love, you feel consumed in its warmth. I’m happy knowing that I’ve contributed to a very long list of love songs. Also, how fucking cute do ukulele’s sound?!” Guitarist Niles Gibbs adds, “We are not afraid to try new things and that is apparent with this song.”

Broadside expand their sound into unheard punk turf incorporating trumpet on the first video from the album, ‘Puzzle Pieces,’ and the Morrissey-channeled, ukulele driven, ‘I Love You, I Love You. It’s Disgusting.’ “This record is the sound we have been trying to achieve all of our career, we aren’t afraid to try new things and that is apparent with “Paradise,” declares guitarist Niles Gregory.
