Breaking Benjamin has released a teaser for its new single/video, ‘Red Cold River’. The track, which will be made available on January 5, is taken from the band’s sixth album, “Ember”, which will be released later this spring.

Breaking Benjamin  frontman Ben Burnley revealed the name of the follow-up to 2015’s “Dark Before Dawn”during an interview with Rock 102.1 KFMA at this past October’s KFMA Fall Ball in Tucson, Arizona.

“Dark Before Dawn” ended a six-year gap between albums for the group and marked the recording debut of the band’s current lineup, of which Burnley remains the sole original member. “Dark Before Dawn” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart upon release, another first for the act. Breaking Benjamin‘s video for the song ‘Never Again’ can be seen below. The track is taken from the band’s latest album, “Dark Before Dawn”, which has been released on 23 June 2015 through Hollywood Records. The album sold 141,000 copies in its first week of release to enter The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 1. The sales number was the best single-week sales mark of the band’s career, with 135,000 of those made for physical CDs.

hr-breakingben-aftershock-2015-2375_xgaplus_135According to The Pulse Of Radio, Breaking Benjamin guitarist Jasen Rauch and his wife Heather suffered a tragic loss over the Christmas holiday as their son was born prematurely and unfortunately did not survive. Rauch wrote: “These last 24 hours have been some of the hardest I think I’ve ever faced. Most of you know Heather and I were expecting our newest little baby Rauch next summer. We couldn’t have been more excited and thankful. Unfortunately, our Christmas took a turn on us this week. Little Henry Mitchell Rauch was delivered and went to be with Jesus earlier this morning.”

Rauch added: “It’s a loss neither of us know how to even begin to process. We are both so thankful for the support from friends and family that has been pouring in from around us. As sad as it has been, I want to focus on how incredible Henry was… I know he’s looking down on us now smiling and telling us it’s going to be okay. Mommy and Daddy love you, Henry. Breaking-Benjamin_2016Breaking Benjamin has announced a new run of U.S. dates in support of its 2015 album, “Dark Before Dawn”. The trek will kick off on January 10 in Silver Spring, Maryland and will conclude two and a half weeks later, on January 28 in Cleveland, Ohio.
