Alice Cooper has told Rolling Stone that he will use the downtime from having his North American tour postponed to work on new music.

“While our management is working to reschedule the postponed shows, I’m going to finish work on my next album, which is nearly done,” he said. “At least now I won’t be squeezing in vocal recording sessions on days off, between shows. I don’t like a lot of time off, as anyone who sees my schedule already knows, but a little extra time at home can be re-energizing.”

Cooper‘s latest release — the six-track “Breadcrumbs” EP, described as a tribute to the garage-rock heroes of his hometown of Detroit — was released in September via earMUSIC.

Following his just-concluded, wildly successful U.K. arena tour, Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Alice Cooper has announced his spring 2020 tour plans. He will extend the “Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back” show, which debuted in summer 2019 to the delight of fans, into the new year. The spring 2020 leg of the tour kicks off on April 1 in Peterborough, Ontario and runs through April 22 in Portland, Oregon. These dates will feature special guest Lita Ford.

The legendary rocker will also return to the road for the fall 2019 leg of the tour. The trek begins on November 3 in Florida before wrapping on November 30 in Illinois.

After a break for the holiday season, Alice will take “Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back” to Australia and New Zealand in February 2020.

Alice Cooper has released a lyric video for ‘Detroit City 2020′, the opening song of his new “Breadcrumbs” EP, which will be released on September 13 via earMUSIC. Check it out below.

The “Breadcrumbs” EP is Alice Cooper‘s tribute to the garage rock heroes from his former hometown, Detroit. The EP features six brand new recordings and is available on digital and as limited and numbered 10-inch vinyl — with only 20,000 copies worldwide — sold at very special price.

Joining Cooper on the recordings are MC5‘s Wayne Kramer, jazz singer Paul Randolph, former Grand Funk Railroad member Mark Farner, ex-Detroit Wheels drummer Johnny “Bee” Badanjek and Mick Collins.. Continue reading »

As previously reported, Cooper will release a six-song EP, “Breadcrumbs”, on September 13 via earMUSIC.

Described as a “tribute to the garage rock heroes from his hometown Detroit city,” the EP includes covers of MC5‘s ‘Sister Anne’, Suzi Quatro‘s ‘Your Mamma Won’t Like Me’ and Mitch Ryder And The Detroit Wheels ‘Devil With A Blue Dress’.
