amy_lee_evanescence_2016_4acIt was recently revealed that Amy Lee was putting together a children’s album called “Dream Too Much” and now there’s an eye-catching animated video for the title track.

In the clip you can see a number of the animals and objects mentioned in the song come to life via origami and construction paper created creatures. Watch the often kaleidoscopic clip all unfold in the video posted above.

Lee made the album a family affair, welcoming her father, her uncle, her siblings and even her two-year-old son Jack to make guest appearances on the disc. The music consists of seven original songs and five popular covers and was produced by Will Hunt. Continue reading »

Amy.LeeEvanescence singer Amy Lee has released her cover version of the Chris Isaak track ‘Baby Did A Bad, Bad Thing’ via her recently launched YouTube channel. Check it out below.

Says Lee about her decision to cover ‘Baby Did A Bad, Bad Thing’: “This cover and I have history. We’ve been through a lot together!

“It all started back in ’09. I’m always on the lookout for a chance to write for film, and the people making ‘Cabin In The Woods’ wanted a cover of this song for the scene where a girl is dared to make out with a taxidermy wolf head on the wall. Gotta love it! We were hanging out writing together anyway, so I decided to take a stab at it with my collaborator and friend Will Hunt (producer/owner of Spaceway Studios in Ft. Worth). They sent us the scene to write to and we had a blast making a short part of this version — we LOVED it! …They didn’t! Ha. And so it goes. We went ahead and finished out the song in my studio just for us, and, after many late-night jams with friends, decided it was too cool to waste — it was going on the next album.” Continue reading »

Amy.LeeEvanescence singer Amy Lee has released her cover version of the Led Zeppelin classic ‘Going To California’ via her newly launched YouTube channel. The video can be watched below.

Says Lee about her decision to cover ‘Going To California’: “This song is a classic that I’ve loved for as long as I can remember. It puts me at peace.

“My friend and manager, Jordan, had recorded the instrumentation for fun and when I heard it a few months ago, I knew instantly that I had to sing on it.

“Listening to mommy sing usually helps get Jack into that elusive sleepy place, and this song has been a regular rotation nap-time hit around our house this fall.

“As I was preparing for the November Evanescence shows, I just really wanted a moment like this in our set. So I showed this version to Troy, who made it a personal challenge to master a finger-picking-based song, which was outside his comfort zone (not that you could tell — he sounded amazing!).
