When two bass players from the Big Four thrash outfits team up to join forces in creating music, the outcome has to be truly refreshing. So when Frank Bello of Anthrax & David Ellefson of Megadeth met back in 2010 to form Altitudes and Attitudes, they left their fans in anticipation which comes to an end this year, as they released their first album “Get it out” on the 18th January 2019 under the record label of Megaforce records.

Frank with his grungy voice handles the vocals for the album along with strumming some great riffs on the guitars, David fills in rhythm and bass and we have Jeff Friedl (of the A Perfect Circle’s fame) kicking it hard on the drums. To top that, the album has a plethora of artists collaborating such as Ace Frehley (ex-KISS), Gus G. (Ozzy  Osbourne, Firewind), Nita Strauss (Alice Cooper), Christian Martucci (Stone Sour) and Satchel (Steel Panther). Altitudes & Attitude the project featuring Anthrax bassist Frank Bello and Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, will release its debut album next year.

Altitudes & Attitude spent time last year in a California studio recording material for the follow-up to its 2014 self-titled EP. Helming the sessions once again was producer Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Steel Panther, Stone Sour), with Jeff Friedl (A Perfect Circle, Ashes Divide) returning behind the kit.

In a brand new interview with Brazil’s Kazagastão (KZG), Bello stated about Altitudes & Attitude: “We did an EP a couple of years ago, and now, next year, we’re coming out with a new record — a whole record we’re coming out with next year we’re very excited about.”

Describing Altitudes & Attitude‘s musical direction as “just rock,” Frank said that it’s been “hard” for him and Ellefson to find the time to work on music for the project. “That’s why we had to wait to put it out,” he said. “We had to wait a long time, ’cause both of our bands are so busy — which is good. But there is downtime… When we start writing a record, there’ll be downtime, and then it’s that time for that.” Continue reading »
