SomethingMoreAltars has released a new single, the title track from their upcoming 2013 full length, Something More. Which will be the name of their new album coming in May on Facedown Records. Check the lyric video for Something More below.

The band has plunged head-long into their new project, and their convictions are plain: “We grow up in a society that promotes conformity. An American culture that is paid to keep the majority of its inhabitants ignorant.”

Altars’ mission statement has never been more clear than with the release of Something More. The band states “There is Something More that lies beyond the blackened scope of our current vision. We are very excited to announce the signing of Strike First’s Altars to Facedown Records, and to show you their brand new lyric video for Scum, the first single from their upcoming Facedown debut Conclusions. The video can be seen below. Conclusions will be released on June 5 and pre-orders will launch next week.

Altars formed in early 2010 with the drive to present forceful passionate, heavy hardcore/metal. After releasing their debut EP Opposition in July 2011 on Strike First Records, they are back with 12 tracks that make up one of the finest heavy albums of 2012 in Conclusions. Continue reading »
