Progessive Gothic Metal Band ‘Askara’ Releases ‘Broken Wing’ Music Video

Swiss progressive gothic metal band Askara has released a music video for ‘Broken Wing’ the track appears on their debut album “Horizon Of Hope” which will comes out tomorrow (October 20th.). Check out the video for ‘Broken Wing’ below.

Their self-produced “Horizon of Hope“ was recorded and mixed by Markus Hospenthal at KHE Recording Studio and mastered by Dan Suter at Echochamber.“Horizon of Hope“ is a short album with 8 songs and about 41 minutes running time, packed into an artistic concept-artwork and a 12 page booklet.

Askara was formed in Basel, Switzerland in 2012 by Myriam Schmidt (Vocals/Piano), Benjamin Wiesli (Guitar/Vocals), Elia Schmidt (Bass/Vocals) and Raphael Gruenig (Drums). The band attracted public attention for the first time in May 2013 when one of their earlier songs was released on the sampler „Heavy Metal Nation IX“ by Quam Libet Records. Since then, Askara has worked continuously on new material, and has taken their audience on a journey through the elements of progressive Gothic Metal at every concert.

The name „Askara“ symbolises the band’s music: The bird in the emblem, the music itself rises out of dismal depths to reach freedom, is cleansed by fire and storms, falls deeply only to rise to even higher levels. Elevation, vastness, and commitment are in their sound. On the wings of its music, the band spreads its wings.
