On the 14th of September John Coffey will release their second album Bright Companions on CD, Vinyl and digital. Last month the five-piece band signed with German label Redfield Records (Face Tomorrow, We Butter The Bread With Butter, Death Letters and Eskimo Callboy among others), who will release the record worldwide.

In the autumn of 2011 John Coffey started a succesful campaign on Sellaband.com to fund the upcoming recordings. Supported by their loyal fan base they reached their goal of 4.000 Euro quickly, so they were able to fly to Sweden in November 2011 and record the new album together with producer Pelle Gunnerfeldt (who produced The Hives and Refused among others)  and Jag Jago (Ex-guitarist of The Ghost Of A Thousand).

The result is Bright Companions, a rough and powerfull punk- / rock’n roll record with eleven mighty and melodic songs. Throughout the album you will experience the influence of punkrock, screamo, hardcore and a big dose of rock’n roll attitude. Redfield Records‘ label manager Alexander Schroder: ” We are completely stoked by listening to the new tracks and had no other choice then to follow our hearts and signing such a find band. This is the reason why we are running an independent label! After the chart-entries of Face Tomorrow in Holland we know that we have a strong network in the home-country of John Coffey. With our distibutor Suburban Records, the PR-agency Aces High and Rock’n Roll Highschool as the bands’ booking agency we have the perfect team. We are also convinced that John Coffey will do a pretty good job in other European countries, especially in Germany.”

John Coffey will play a release show on the 27th of September at Tivoli De Helling in Utrecht, Netherlands. Tickets can be bought HERE
