My Silent Wake: Unlikely to Have further Gigs this Year, a Number of Gigs Already In the Pipeline for 2019 (UK & Europe)

British death/doom metal band My Silent Wake checked in on facebook with the following:

Time for along overdue update!!

As you may know, if you keep up to speed with things, MSW have had a bit of an imposed hiatus for the last few months. We had to cancel all of our booked shows (a decision not taken lightly) and go ‘off grid’ in order to focus on health and family matters. However, all is now well in camp and we are well on the way to getting back into the swing of things and getting more promotion for our newest release, ‘There Was Death’.

Although it is unlikely that we will have any further gigs for 2018 we have a number of gigs already in the diary for 2019, both in the UK and in Europe, and more in the pipeline. This includes a couple of festivals as well as headline shows; the first of which is in Plymouth (UK) in March with our good buddies in The Drowning. Others will be confirmed in the near future so watch this space!!!

Elsewhere we have a huge mountain of merch that we would like to move on to new ‘owners’ so, if you have gaps in your MSW related belongings look out for status updates over the next couple of months with a variety of deals on merch to entice and delight!

MSW tenth album “There Was Death” is released February 24th on CD and double LP via Minotauro Records.

About the new album the band said the following

“This release represents possibly the most aggressive and heavy material that MSW have recorded so far. It’s been a long time in the making, and we’ve put a lot into it, but we’re very proud of the final result” “Almost 65 mins of mainly very heavy music. We have one track that isn’t metal on there and I believe it is our shortest track ever. 35 seconds! It also has the longest title on the album.”

My Silent Wake recently announced the addition of a second guitar player, David MacLean. Dave was previously in the band Irony of Christ and he replaces Mike [Hitchen] who is very busy with The Drowning as well as his full time job. His first performance was on March 16th at MSW‘s album launch gig. Video footage from that gig can be watched here.
