British death/doom metal band My Silent Wake have released ‘The Last Man’, a 4 song digital EP. It’s a small taste of the new album ‘Silver Under Midnight’. A album teaser video can be streamed below.
The EP contains the following tracks: 1) The Last Man [Taken from ‘Silver Under Midnight’], 2) Et Lux Perpetua (original mix) [Unreleased], 3) Father (original mix) [Unreleased] , 4) OHM (ritual) [Taken from the album ‘Preservation Restoration Reconstruction’]. ‘The Last Man’ is available on My Silent Wake‘s bandcamp profile.
In an update last April 22: “The new album of brand new MSW metal songs is now almost completely mixed and is sounding better than anything else we have put out so far. Expect to see “Silver Under Midnight” next month along with the acoustic album “Preservation, restoration, reconstruction”. Both out on Bombworks Records. Apart from two limited edition compilations and the re-release of “Anatomy”, these two albums are our first full releases of new material for three years.”
The band line-up has changed again and the current membership is Ian Arkley, Mark Henry [Also of March of Time], Adam Westlake [Also of Striga] and Rich Alden [also of Penthos]. This line-up will be playing at future gigs. The previous members are all very much in contact with the band, and may return at some point. Many have been involved in recent recordings.
