Megadeth bassist David Ellefson recently faced off with Chris Annunziata for New Jersey radio station WMSC 90.3‘s Metal Teddy Bear Experience show, discussing the band’s new album, “Dystopia,” and going into details with regards to the band’s new members, Kiko Loureiro (guitars) and Chris Adler (drums). Megadeth‘s fifteenth “Dystopia” will be released on January 22, 2016. The follow-up to 2013’s “Super Collider” was recorded earlier in the year in Nashville, Tennesseeand was produced by Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine and Toby Wright (Alice In Chains, Korn). The CD was mixed by Josh Wilbur, who has previously worked with Lamb Of God, All That Remains & Gojira.
“Dystopia” marks the recording debut of Megadeth‘s new lineup, featuring founding members Mustaine (guitar, vocals) and David Ellefson (bass) alongside Lamb Of God drummer Chris Adler and Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro, best known for his work with Angra.
Megadeth will team up with Suicidal Tendencies, Children of Bodom and Havok for a North American tour in early 2016. The four-band package — which will launch on February 20 in Dallas, Texas and wrap on March 24 in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
