‘Taking Flight 1985’ by former Tourniquet guitarist Gary Lenaire can be streamed below, feat. Michael Gildner and the amazing Derrick Murdock on bass. ‘Taking Flight 1985’  is available for purchase through his website.

Lenaire‘s solo debut album “No Time Now” has been self-released in July 2017. The album features guest appearances of: Guy Ritter, Anna Sentina, Bubby Lewis, Neil Swanson, Aly Frank and Others. “No Time Now” is the first record he have  published since 2005. Some of the tracks were posted on Soundcloud and YouTube under the Talking Snakes name—a project in Los Angeles. A number of those tracks were remixed or recorded altogether for this release. Says Gary: “So, indulge me in these 10 tunes, they are all over the place—much like my musical tastes.”

Our album review of “No Time Now” can be found here.

Late last month, Lenaire released a brand new single ‘Vainglorious Hypocrisy’ feat. Luke Easter (ex Tourniquet) & Bjorn Englen (Dio Disciples, Tony MacAlpine) on bass. Check out the video here.

 ‘Taking Flight 1985’ Lyrics:

I witnessed light and then the darkness came
It knew my name
Black as the night

Osiris tales
I heard the lies for toll
Take me to paradise
Save my soul

Seek first
You shall find
Fool’s gold
Rainbow’s hind

I
I’m gonna fly
I wanna live
I’ll never die

Sunsets upon this darkened world
Edge of blackness in the depths of the girl
Beget the word, he speaks the sacred seed
I will need proof of eternity

Seek first
You shall find
Fool’s gold
Out of time

I
I’m gonna fly
I wanna live
I’ll never die

Set adrift beyond the shores of time
You have found the secret divine
He’s a priest and a king you say
Ghosts of future fame and yesterdays

Seek first
You shall find
Fool’s gold
Out of time

I
I’m gonna fly
I wanna live
I’ll never die
