JohnSchlittMultiple Grammy and Dove Award-winning recording artist John Schlitt‘s music video, Faith & Freedom, is featured on a new limited-edition DVD produced by Faith & Freedom Coalition, a grassroots movement for time-honored values, stronger families and individual freedom. The single, Faith & Freedom, is from Schlitt‘s fourth solo CD, The Greater Cause.

Titled One Nation Under God-Restoring American Greatness, the DVD features some of the most respected conservative voices in the nation, including Senator Marco Rubio, Governor Scott Walker, former governor and television/radio host Mike Huckabee, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, and radio and television host Glenn Beck. The DVD is being provided to the more than 32,000 members and supporters of the Coalition as a thank you for their support.

Schlitt first became involved with the Faith & Freedom Coalition when the legendary vocalist was invited to perform at the 2012 Faith & Freedom Celebration in Tampa, Fla., an event held in coordination with the Republican National Convention.

“Our members and supporters loved John‘s live performance of ‘Faith & Freedom’ at the FFC Tampa Kick-Off last August,” says Joy Creasman, Director of Marketing & Events at the Faith & Freedom Coalition. “We thought that it would be appropriate to include the song on the DVD so our members and supporters could enjoy it at home as well!”

“It’s an honor that an organization such as the Faith & Freedom Coalition would see my song as a value to their goals and objectives,” says Schlitt. “I’m glad the message of the song can be a benefit to their vision.”

Faith & Freedom, written by Ian Eskelin and The Greater Cause producer Dan Needham, has a strong patriotic and Christian message. “I have faith in Jesus Christ who allowed us to have this freedom, which so often times we take for granted,” says Schlitt. “But the song also says ‘I’m a citizen of this world and of heaven.’ In other words, it stretches beyond the boundaries of this world. Our constitution-this country-is the core of freedom that’s left in this world.”

The Faith & Freedom Coalition is committed to educating, equipping, and mobilizing people of faith and like-minded individuals to be effective citizens, to influence public policy and enact legislation that strengthens families, promotes time-honored values, protects the dignity of life and marriage, lowers the tax burden on small business and families, and requires government to tighten its belt and live within its means.
