Ken Tamplin is an American Christian rock performer and vocal coach. Tamplin is known for his vocal range and has composed music for television and movies. Tamplin is one of the founding members of the group Shout, along with Chuck King. After Shout broke up, several bands pursued Ken to be their vocalist including Motley Crue. Ken‘s vocal range is amazing and he is a great guitarist and songwriter to boot. Besides Shout Tamplin was also involved in Joshua, Angelica, Magdallan. He has also co-written songs with Gene Simmons for Kiss as well as helped produce a number of projects, including the first Angelica CD. Most of his original early 90’s discs are very hard to find. He is also the winner of four Dove awards, including Hard Music Album of the Year at the 24th GMA Dove Awards in 1993, for his album “Tamplin.”
He is the founder of Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy.
