Swiss Folk Metallers ‘Eluveitie’ Return to Ukraine and Russia Early 2018, Video Announcement Available

The Swiss metal band Eluveitie has announced shows which will be held in 2018’s February and March in Russia and Ukraine, as a part of the Eastern Evocation Tour. Check out the video announcements below featuring the band’s leader Christian Glanzmann.

The band states: “Russia & Ukraine! Get ready for EASTERN EVOCATION!! We will return to your beautiful countries in february 2018 and can’t wait to play for all of you awesome people!”

A series of Russian concerts will start on February 19 in Vladivostok and wrap up with a set on March 3 in St. Petersburg — in total, the Russian tour will include 12 shows. Then, Eluveitie will perform on March 4 at Atlas club, Kyiv, and on March 5 at the Metropolis, Chornomorsk, Ukraine.

Eight years after melodic death/folk metal masters Eluveitie released their acoustic album, “Evocation I,” the Swiss musicians have stored their electronic instruments again in the rehearsal room. “Evocation II – Pantheon” will be released August 18th via Nuclear Blast Records.

The band recently revealed the new cover artwork. They have also launched the pre-order for “Evocation II – Pantheon,” and the first single off the new record, ‘Epona’, is now purchasable digitally as well.

The band’s latest album, “Origins”, was released in August 2014 via Nuclear Blast Records. The effort was once again recorded at New Sound Studio in Pfäffikon, a municipality in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland, with producer Tommy Vetterli (a.k.a. Tommy T. BaronCoroner/ex-Kretaor guitarist).
