At the end of last year the Polish prog metal band Votum came out with a brand new song. It was not mentioned here, that is why I still want to pay attention to it, because it is definitely worth listening to. Check out the video for the new single ‘Hate’ below. The band states:
Votum does not shy away from important social issues. We teamed up with NGOs from around the world to put a spotlight on something important. Hate and cyber-bulling. And to help those in need.
Cyber-bulling is affecting many people regardless of their age, race, sexual preference or social status. There are places to which you can reach out and get help if you or somebody close to you falls victim to online harassment. Down below you will find links and helpful resources. Stay strong.

Votum combines dark and vibrant atmosphere with metal traditions, bringing both force and ambience to play. The band is no stranger to musical diversity with subtle cinematic frailty and modern electronica. Dealing in powerful guitars and acoustic ballads Votum creates a very specific blend of fresh and unusual approach to progressive rock and metal.
Votum‘s latest album“:Ktonik:” has been released on February 26th 2016 through Inner Wound Recordings.
The album was mixed by David Castillo at Ghost Ward [Katatonia, Opeth, Bloodbath] and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios [Paradise Lost, Kreator, Leprous].
