Circle of Dust, The Iconic ’90s Industrial Project From Klayton Releases 25th Anniversary Mix of ‘Nothing Sacred’

‘Nothing Sacred’ embodies the early era of Klayton‘s Circle of Dust project, delivering stark percussion and a gritty atmosphere guided by the artist’s stoic vocal delivery. The 25th Anniversary Edition adds sonic depth and nuance to the recording for a fresh take on a timeless track.

Klayton says: “The day I got the first sampler I ever owned was the day I created Nothing Sacred. Experimenting with the sampler, coming up with a few sounds ( including lots of drums from the Ensoniq Floppy Disks that came with it), and then playing with the built-in sequencer led to the main progression that runs through the entire song. I’m grateful that 25 years later I could readdress the mix and give you a version of the song that sounds a lot closer to what I originally intended. Enjoy!”

The song can be streamed below.

‘Nothing Sacred (25th Anniversary Edition)’ is available now on all platforms from independent electronic rock label FiXT Radium.

Locked away collecting “dust” for 20+ years, the rights to the Circle of Dust Argyle Park albums were unavailable to Klayton as the original labels they were signed to shut down in the mid-90s. After 2 decades of pursuing a deal to re-gain ownership of the albums, Klayton was finally able to reclaim the rights in 2015.

As Klayton began planning the remastering and re-release of the original albums, a new idea began to grow. He decided to not only re-release each album, but to fully resurrect the project and create a new full-length Circle of Dust album, released December 2016. Machines of Our Disgrace marks the 5th full-length studio album for industrial music pioneer Circle of Dust, after a near 20 year hiatus. Created by artist/producer Klayton, best known for his multi-genre project Celldweller, Circle of Dust returns to Klayton’s industrial roots with metal riffs, pulsing electronics and catchy songwriting.

When the album “Machines of Our Disgrace” released in 2016, the first new album from Circle of Dust in nearly 20 years, many believed this to be a one-time return for Klayton to release under the moniker.
