FallstarFor the first time, Fallstar all the way from Portland/Oregon [USA] will come over to Europe to play at the annual Christmas Rock Night. This year the two day winter-festival will be held December 6 & 7, as usual in “Haus Ennepetal”, Ennepetal, Germany.

Fallstar, an unrestrained group of artists and musicians who draw just as much inspiration from their local punk and hardcore scene as they do from their hometown in general. “Our city is known for its global perspective, sustainable living, care for the homeless, and having ideas that challenge long-standing traditions and beliefs. The event will take place in McDonald, PA a small town just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Orchestrated by college student Ryan Babirad, Alliance Festival is designed to ignite a positive impact throughout the region through music, entertainment, community, and all to aid a great cause.

Brainstorm Fest logoUSA-based power-metal band Theocracy [USA], prog.death-metallers Benea Reach [NO] and fantasy-metalband ReinXeed [SE] are confirmed for the 6th edition of Brainstorm Festival in The Netherlands. Also Antidemon [BRA], My Endless Wishes [SE] and Startled by Silence [NL] play the yearly cultural rock- and metalfestival.

In total 15 bands will be featured mainstage, plus several extra shows will take place in the theater of the festival like singer-songwriter Rachel Louise [NL]. Elements Of Rock 2013  is approaching. The tenth anniversary of the annual Elements Of Rock will be held this weekend March 14 – 17, Stadthofsaal, Uster, Switserland. Check out the schedule and trailer below.

With the return of hardrock legends Whitecross. After two years Scott Wenzel & Rex Carroll are returning to Uster. Rex Carroll plays also a set with his other band King James, which he founded in 1993 and now K.J. has revived.

‘Flatfoot 56′ European Tour Is Approaching [Starting This Saturday]

Flatfoot56Flatfoot 56 will continue its frantic worldwide support of its latest LP, Toil, with a lengthy string of European tour dates next month. The dates kick off on Feb. 2 in Russia, then the band spends about a month weaving throughout mainland Europe with the tour culminating in Germany on March 2.  All dates and locations are listed below.

Megadeth‘s forthcoming fourteenth studio album  is being produced by Johnny K [full name: John Karkazis], who has previously worked with Disturbed, Sevendust, Machine Head and Staind, to produce the band’s new album, tentatively due in early 2013. The effort will surface later this year via an as-yet-undisclosed label following the band’s recent split with Roadrunner Records.
