Combining soulful vocals and soaring grooves in one infectious burst, Australia’s Awaken I Am has eradicated genres with ‘Wolves,’ their newest song, available today. The track comes from their likewise enchanting new album, “Blind Love,” available everywhere September 29th, 2017.

“When people are only there for you when it benefits them, I consider them wolves,” admits vocalist Adam Douglas. “This song is a look at those self-absorbed people, and making yourself re-evaluate what truly matters. I also want to push people to achieve the things that make them happy with the true friends who are always there for you. If they can’t be there for you in the bad times, don’t let that burden you, make that motivate you.”

Awaken I Am emerged in 2014 with the release of their first album “Shields & Crowns,” which went on to extensive radio play across Australia, reaching #3 on the iTunes Metal Chart. Awaken I Am’s live show is impressive as well, erupting with energy, which was witnessed around the world on tours with Chiodos, The Devil Wears Prada, Emarosa, headlining dates in Japan and an appearance at So What Festival in Dallas. They continued pushing the boundaries of all genres, playing as openers and headliners, and turned the Australian rock scene on its head. All this ultimately lead to a worldwide deal with Victory Records in December 2016.

Jumping immediately into the studio with producer Taylor Larson (From First To Last, I See Stars), Awaken I Am created “Blind Love,” which according to Douglas, “is an impassioned record about relationships and being blind to another’s faults – and our struggles to look past our mistakes.”

Awaken I Am recently gave audiences a sneak peek at the Blind Love’s new tracks while supporting Slaves in their native Australia. Before more international tour dates are announced, Awaken I Am will embark on a second headlining tour of Japan starting September 27.

The band consists of: Adam Douglas – Vocals, Luke McKenzie – Drums, Ned Jankovic – Guitars, Connor Oakley – Guitars.
