American Supergroup ‘Stavesacre’ Releases ‘Sideways’ Lyric Video

‘Sideways’ is the newest lyric video by American rock band Stavesacre. The song is taken from their brand new album “MCMXCV” which is released last month. The video can be watched below.

Stavesacre was formed in 1995 as a post-hardcore band following the breakup of The Crucified. Vocalist Mark Salomon and guitarist Jeff Bellew played in The Crucified and, following its disbandment, the two still had a desire to write music. Salomon and Bellew recruited bassist Dirk Lemmenes and drummer Jeremy Moffett. They knew Lemmenes from his former band, Focused, which The Crucified toured with. Salomon and Moffett had been roommates for a while, and Moffett played in the band The Blamed.

They became known at first for their Heavy and leaning towards hardcore metal and thrash sound, in the spirit of Die Happy or Tourniquet. The sound of the band slowly metamorphosed from heavy metal to what some say is an emo style of rock, described by others as “Forceful Angular Rock”, over the years from 1996- 2004. Their music has become just “straight up passion, truth, and rock, with an edge.”

2014/2015 saw a resurgence in activity online, with a variety of pictures posted on members Facebook pages as well as the band’s, showing the band apparently writing new music.

In 2016 the group announced a crowdfunding project for its sixth studio album. “MCMXCV” was released on Sept.1st. and is their first album since “How to Live with a Curse” (2006).

The current line-up is: vocalist Mark Salomon, guitarists Jeff Bellew and Ryan Dennee, bassist Dirk Lemmenes and drummer Sam West.
